Gap Coupons & Promo Codes – October 2026: 40% Off Friends & Family Plus Code FAMILY
Baby clothes have a short shelf life: that perfect 6-12 M sweater fits for about three months. So when Gap runs a sitewide event, it's the moment to stock up on the next size. In October 2026, gap.com is running Friends & Family with 40% off everything, and there's a real code for cardmembers too. Here's every saving we found for the Baby & Kids range.

Is There a Gap Promo Code?
Yes, but read the fine print. The sitewide banner on gap.com in October 2026 showed FAMILY: "Extra 10% off for Cardmembers," for purchases with a Gap Encore Credit Card. It excludes collaborations and ends 10/21. If you don't have the card, you don't need a code for the main event: product listings showed "40% off at checkout," so the Friends & Family discount is applied in your bag. We didn't find any other public code. New offers will appear on our Gap deals page.
Deal 1: 40% Off Everything (Friends & Family)
Gap's homepage read "40% off everything — includes new arrivals," online and in stores, excluding collaborations. Here's what that does to some baby favorites, using the regular prices we saw:
| Piece | Regular price | With 40% off |
|---|---|---|
| Baby First Favorites TinyRib Footed One-Piece | $34.95 | About $20.97 |
| Baby VintageSoft Brannan Bear Sweat Set | $44.95 | About $26.97 |
| Baby Brannan Bear Fair Isle Sweater One-Piece | $49.95 | About $29.97 |
| Baby Hooded One-Piece Snowsuit | $99.95 | About $59.97 |
The discounted figures are our own math; your bag shows the exact total. We didn't see an end date for the event on the homepage, so don't wait too long.
Deal 2: Extra Markdowns in the Baby Sale
Some styles were already reduced before checkout. When we looked, the Baby Denim Brannan Bear Varsity Logo Jacket was showing at $19.00 (regularly $49.95), and the Gap × Disney Organic Brushed Cotton PJ Set was $19.00 (regularly $39.95). Several sale listings also showed "Extra 40% off at checkout." Note that items marked Final Sale can't be returned or exchanged.
Deal 3: Free Encore Membership
Encore is Gap's free membership program. Core members earn 5 points per $1 spent (500 points = a $1 reward), get free basic shipping on $50+ and a birthday bonus. Return shipping is free for members, while nonmembers pay $6. Premier status kicks in at $350+ a year, and All-Access Cardmembers get free standard shipping from $35.
Deal 4: Build a Bundle Past $50
- TinyRib Bodysuit 3-Pack ($49.95) + a bodysuit from $19.95: a full drawer refresh.
- Fair Isle Sweater One-Piece ($49.95) + VintageSoft Sweat Set ($44.95): one holiday look, one everyday look.
- Hooded Snowsuit ($99.95) on its own clears the bar.

What's excluded?
Both the 40% event and the FAMILY code exclude collaborations, according to the banners.
Can I return sale baby clothes?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery for online orders, unless the item is marked Final Sale.
How do I get free shipping?
Join Encore for free and spend $50+, or $35+ if you're an All-Access Cardmember.
The Bottom Line
The smartest Gap baby order right now is a cart built past $50 during Friends & Family, placed while signed in to a free Encore account, with code FAMILY on top if you hold the card. Check our Gap deals page before you buy.
