Cuddle and Kind Winter Guide 2026: Snowmen, Penguins and Holiday Baby Animals Worth Gifting

The first real snow of the year, a mug of cocoa going cold on the windowsill, and a small pair of arms wrapped tight around a knitted snowman with a pom-pom hat. Some toys just belong to winter.

Cuddle and Kind has a whole cast of them. We went through the brand's winter and holiday dolls at cuddleandkind.com in October 2026 to help you plan the season: which characters are in stock, how the sizes compare, how to build a gift trio in the holiday box, and when to order so everything arrives on time.

Who This Winter Guide Is For

It's for parents, grandparents and gift-givers who want a soft, hand-made toy for a first Christmas, a December birthday or a winter baby shower, and who like that the purchase also gives meals to children. Everything below, from prices to policies, comes from Cuddle and Kind's own product and policy pages. Characters sell out during the season, so treat the stock notes as a snapshot.

Meet the Winter Characters

Cuddle and Kind's full-size dolls are hand-knit in Peru from 100% cotton yarn, with felt and knit details and a signature "10 meals" wristband. Each comes in two heights: little (13") for $87 and regular (20") for $109. Every character also has a birthday and a favorite quote on its page, which makes for a sweet note in a gift card.

  • Spruce the snowman. Birthday December 21st, the first day of winter. His quote: "Friendship is a snowflake that never melts." The little 13" size was in stock when we checked.
  • Greyson the penguin (icy blue). Born November 14th, in an icy blue knit. Both sizes were available, and there's a lavender version too.
  • Hudson and Stella the polar bears. Twins who share a January 12th birthday, which makes them a lovely pair for siblings or twins. The little size of each was in stock.
  • Everest the penguin. A penguin in a striped knit scarf, birthday September 24th. The regular 20" size was available.

Choose the little 13" if: it's for a baby or a stocking. Go regular 20" if: you want a big, huggable companion for a toddler or preschooler.

The Holiday Baby Animals: Small, Collectible and Ready for Stockings

Cuddle and Kind's baby animals are about 7" tall, a little bigger than your hand. Each one comes with a booklet about the brand's mission and a "gives 5 meals" tag on its hip. This season's holiday characters include:

  • Baby Santa ($47), in light and deep skin tones, knit from cotton and alpaca yarn with a fluffy white beard.
  • Baby wreath ($56), a smiling green wreath with a red bow, berries and little peppermints.
  • Baby snowman ($53) in blush or peppermint stripe.
  • Baby candy cane, blush stripe ($43), plus everyday winter friends like the baby penguin and baby polar bear ($43 each).

Build a Trio in the Holiday Collector's Kit

Here's the detail that makes baby animals such a good holiday gift. Cuddle and Kind's listings say that when you choose any three baby animals, you receive the Collector's Kit gift box free. This season the box is a limited holiday edition: a snowy gabled rooftop, garlands tied with bows, a gold doorknob, and arched windows so each baby animal can peek out. It measures 11" x 7.9" x 3.4", it's made from recyclable materials, and the brand says each kit gives 15 meals. Holiday-edition boxes can run out, so check availability on the deals page before you plan around one.

A few trios that work well together:

  • Classic Christmas: baby Santa, baby wreath and baby snowman (peppermint stripe), $156 together.
  • Snow day: baby penguin, baby polar bear and baby snowman (blush), $139.
  • Candy shop: baby candy cane, baby snowman (peppermint stripe) and baby Santa, $143.

Every Doll Comes With a Story of Its Own

Cuddle and Kind was started by a family of five after watching a documentary about childhood hunger. For every full-size doll sold, the brand gives 10 meals to children in need, through partners including Breakfast Club of Canada, World Food Program USA, Children's Hunger Fund and Feeding America. Since September 2015, the brand says purchases have helped provide over 40 million meals. The dolls are made by artisans in Peru (baby animals in Peru and Nepal), and the brand says it supports over 1,000 artisans with fair trade employment.

Cuddle and Kind Winter FAQ

How big are the dolls?

Full-size characters come in little (13") and regular (20") heights. Baby animals are about 7" tall.

What are they made of?

The full-size dolls are hand-knit from 100% cotton yarn with felt details. Some holiday baby animals, like baby Santa and the baby wreath, use a cotton and alpaca yarn. The brand lists its dolls as certified to US, CE and Canadian safety standards.

How do I get the free Collector's Kit?

Add any three baby animals to your order; the listings say the Collector's Kit gift box is included free. The holiday edition is limited, and international orders pay a $13 shipping premium on the box.

What if a doll has a quality issue later?

Cuddle and Kind's return page says it will replace a doll with a quality issue, now or in the future, for dolls bought directly from cuddleandkind.com with proof of purchase. Lost or damaged dolls aren't covered.

The Bottom Line

For a winter gift that feels hand-made and meaningful, Cuddle and Kind is hard to overlook. Pick a 13" Spruce or Greyson for a baby's first Christmas, or build a trio of baby animals in the holiday box for a stocking-sized surprise, and remember that personalized pieces need 4 to 6 weeks.
